From mid May through September cobia visit our waters. Sight casting is the preferred method to fish for cobia. They can move around solo, in small groups, or even with larger schools. They like to tag along with other creatures such as rays, turtles, and bait balls. Live baits like croaker or eel and artificial lures of different types work. Chumming in cobia for awaiting dead and alive baits is effective as well.
